Based on the book The Master and Margarita
I
I lull Behemoth with a spirit tincture from my childhood.
My cat is a trickster; my cat is always noisy and disturbs everyone.
In a half-world with bars on the windows, I started a fire. Fahrenheit's heat is powerless
against manuscripts that do not burn. Azazel drowns the madhouse in clouds of fragrant Miros.
I am the Master, drinking the smoke of my beloved's cigar.
I am the only one who has managed to count how many devils fit on the tip of a needle.
All you have to do is prick your finger and let your heart pump shadows into your body.
The entourage has already spilled darkness.
I slipped.
II
When I moved into the black house, my only possessions were the books that had not burned.
Not long ago, I assembled new shelves in the bedroom – books colony expanded
and became our guardians. I welcome countless people into my bed and appropriate their
whispered intimacies – believing that I am protecting the sleep of all the strangers.
III
I bathe in mist. Margarita strokes my hair. The Behemoth grunts
beside me. The twilight zones are the safest.
