Manuscript Submission Guideline:
We don't accept manuscripts via email. Please submit your manuscript via our Submittable page:
Submission Policy:
We are looking for surrealist poetry, imagist poetry, symbolist poetry, poetry that channels the spirit of the Beat Generation, experimental poetry, and modernist poetry. We are particularly interested in poetry that carries lyricism, musicality, and visual quality between the lines.
Avant-guard/Surrealist/Nonsense poetry is also welcome.
We are interested in traditional literary short stories, experimental short stories, surreal short stories, and stream-of-consciousness stories.
Magazine Submission Guideline:
Poetry: Submit 1-3 unpublished poems in a single word document.
For other submissions, please keep the word count under 7500.
Short story: Submit 1 story per time. If you have already submitted your work and are waiting for a response or have received a response, please wait for 1 month if you wish to submit another story for consideration.
Visual Arts: Submit one image per time.
Interviews: Either the interviewee or the interviewer can submit an interview. Please attach both the interviewee's and the interviewer's author bios at the end of the document.
Manuscript Submission Guideline:
Poetry Collection: The minimum page requirement for a poetry manuscript is 60 pages. Please submit ten poems demonstrating your style, an author bio, and a book proposal instead of the complete manuscript. If we are interested, you can send us the full manuscript.
For other manuscripts, our minimum word requirement is 35000 words or 140 pages.
Short Story Collection: We are especially interested in stories with unique structures or stories written in a form that explores and seeks to blend other genres to enhance storytelling. We don’t have plans to publish novels at this moment, but we might in the future.
Nonfiction: We are interested in memoir essays, art criticism, and personal stories related to literature and art. However, we do not publish other genres of fiction.
Please submit the first three chapters of your manuscript with a cover letter and synopsis.
Unfortunately, we cannot respond to every query. If we don’t get back to you in four months, please consider your manuscript rejected.
